Monsoon Bohemia at Percept Art Gallery

Sangeeta Wadhwani’s Monsoon Bohemia at Percept Art Gallery was a big hit because of it’s big hitters.
Alyque Padamsee performing Arthur Miller; Amish Tripathi of Shiva Trilogy fame; Lesle Lewis doing Colonial Cousins;
Gary Richardson’s Public Spaces Dissident (featuring Nabanita Chakraborty); Pooja Misrra in the interactive comedy It’s Got to be Love; Vandana Vadehra singing Bollywood hits.
      Kolkata’s Nabanita Chakrabory delivered a high-energy performance in Gary Richardson’s short eco-play Public Spaces Dissident.
Set in the year 2023, the Global Bounty Hunter (Richardson) has captured Mumbai’s last Public Spaces Dissident (Chakraborty). She was interrogated…did the audience can save her from execution?
      Pooja Misrra showed nice comic timing and wit in the interactive comedy It’s Got to be Love!  A doomed marriage is saved when the Husband (Richardson) gives a magic love potion to his unhappy wife (Chakraborty).  The Bluffmaster (Misrra) will get him more at a ‘price’.   Did it save the marriage?  Only the audience knows.
      Alyque Padamsee did scenes from his most recent play Death of a Salesman.
      One of the highlights of the show was when Vandana Vadehra sang some of her Bollywood songs with Lesle Lewis.
      It was raining talent at Monsoon Bohemia.
