Last night, Moët & Chandonauctioned itsone-and- only, handmade MCIII Wine Cellar with 23 magnum bottles of MCIII champagne, offeredexclusivelyfor the 23 rd edition of the annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala. Held during the 69 th Cannes Film Festival in France, the MCIII Wine Cellar was auctioned for €100,000, with proceeds benefitting lifesaving AIDS research.

The MCIII Wine Cellar, the only one of its kind in the world, houses a cutting-edge luxury experience by Moët & Chandon. The handmade object features 23 magnum bottles of MCIII,availablefor the very first time inthe large format,to celebrate the 23 rd edition of the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala. One central bottle of MCIII is featured in the center, and stands alone in a bold statement. A special lighting effect behind the glass illuminates theother 22 magnumbottles which appearas if the revelation to an elegant mystery.The bottles’ delicately engraved metal basesappear to levitate around thecentral bottle.
MCIII is Moët & Chandon’s bold new assemblage, and a hybrid creation.
