Model-turned actor Konkana Bakshi spotted cheering !

 Guess what fashionista Konkana Bakshi was doing in Calcutta on Sunday? Well, the Bengali beauty was in her home town not to meet her family but to add glamour to the cheering squad of King Khan’s team Kolkata Knight Riders. “When I got an invite from Mr. Morani (Kareem Morani) to cheer KKR, I immediately said yes. I have always been a KKR fan, so I just couldn’t let the chance slip by,” says Konkana. So, how did her cheering help? “I would have loved if we would have won the match. But, then it was a tough match and we had almost won the match,” she adds. Looks like the KKR team has found a new fan in Konkana.
Who is KONKANA BAKSHI ?

Within a short span of time, this Kolkata-born stunner, Konkanaa Bakshe, has
become one of the most successful models in the Indian fashion scene. Her name has
been associated with some of the biggest and most well known names in the
industry. She is a New York Film Academy Alumnus, has set her eyes on making a
mark in the tinsel town.

Konkana is a well-known face in the industry. Her place in the Indian Fashion
Industry has been cemented to top. She has walked as the show stopper for fashion
shows. She has featured in several fashion weeks and has walked the ramp for well
known designers like Sabyasachi, Wendel Rodricks, Preety Chandra, Arachana
Kochcher and Agnimitra Paul to name a few. She was also the face representing
Bombay Dyeing. She has also walked down the ramp as the show stopper for Neeta
Lulla last year.

Earlier this year her innocent yet naughty look helped her bag the advertisements of
brands like KFC and Maruti Suzuki. Being projected as the face of the Indian
youth, Konkanaa is definitely going places. She has also encoded a fashion boutique
Sattva in Mumbai.

“Konkanna was the best
sperformer that we had
auditioned and I think
she has a great potential.
With her oriental looks,
acting skill and dancing
ability, she has a good chance of making it to Bollywood,” says Ganesh.

The Bengali beauty is also in talks with the Kannada Cricket Association to be the
brand ambassador of the Kannada Celebrity Cricket team that will be playing in
the much famous celebrity T20 cricket match. This cricket game series has people
like Salman Khan, Bonny Kapoor and Surya associated with.

Konkana Bakshi was born in a renowned
family that specializes in medical
business. Her Father Mr Ratan Bakshi, is
a well known in the medical fraternity.
However, medicines never appealed
Konkanna, who was more fascinated by
the glamour associated with fashion
industry. She is a trained Kathak dancer.

She began walking down the ramp when
she was only 16 and has won several titles
too.
