Skills Education in Media and Entertainment: A Transformation in the Making

Meghna Ghai Puri, President, Whistling Woods International along with other industry experts such as Antony Waddington, Producer, JMC Academy, Australia, Suzanne Guevremont, Director General, NAD, D.J. Narain, Director, FTII,  Sunit Tandon, Director General, IIMC, Dalip Sondhi, Associate Professor for Performance Arts Education, Western Australian Academy for Performing Arts, Diana Sharma, Business Planning Manager, Unitec Institute of Technology, New Zealand were a part of the an advisory session at FICCI Frames on 14th March. The panelist spoke on the topic of Skills Education in Media and Entertainment: A Transformation in the Making. The speakers discussed the phenomenal growth in the M&E industry in India and also the numerous employment opportunities. They highlighted the problem of inadequacy of trained personnel to fill these jobs and shared views on how the industry can bridge the skills gap for the sector.
