Lopamudra Raut leaves for Ecuador to represent India at Miss United Continents 2016
From being a Tomboy to representing India at Miss United Continents 2016, Lopamudra Raut’s journey has been really an exciting one. Brought up in a very cultural and spiritual family in Nagpur, she always believed in herself. Lopamudra will be seen competing against 32 other contestants from the 4 continents of America, Asia, Europe and Africa to be held at Crystal Palace Guayaquil, Ecuador. The finale will be held on 24th September, 2016 and the winner of the Pageant also wins a cash prize of 15,000$.
An overjoyed Lopamudra said, “I am extremely proud and happy to represent my country- India at the Miss United Continent 2016. I have always followed my dreams and constantly challenged myself to rise above adversities. I will be giving my best shot at winning the title and earn laurels for the nation.”
Unlike conventional beauty pageants, Miss United Continent 2016 is a 2 week competition designed to test the candidates in a variety of ways through a series of challenging events, interviews and a final stage show. The mission of this pageant is to unite the continents. With a massive destruction caused by earthquake this year at Ecuador, they are looking for various organizations who can come together to support the affected victims.
The Official Online TV Channel for the show is Gama TV. At the pageant, Lopamudra will be seen competing for various sub-contests to get her closer to the title like Best in National Costume, Miss Photogenic, Miss Congeniality and Miss Beautiful Face.
She has got the opportunity to be trained by the best in the industry like Samir Purohit, Dr. Jamuna Pai, Ritu Kumar, Dr. Sandesh Mayekar , Supreet Bedi, Sabira Merchant, Sanjeev Datta, Avni Gandhi Varma, Kavita Lakhani, Alesia Raut, Melvyn Noronha and many more. She has always been inspired by her father who has always worked for the upliftment of the less fortunate. A passionate traveller, she loves exploring different cultures and cuisines across the world.
In the 4th Edition of Miss United Continent 2016 contestants from across all the 4 continents will participate and compete to win the crown, making the competition a stiff one. However, Lopamudra Raut is confident and prepared to make India proud. We support her in all her endeavour and wish her all the luck.
