London Paris New York creates a splash at the BO

The makers of London Paris New York have much reason to celebrate ,as the unconventional romantic –comedy opened to rave reviews and had cash registers ringing at the box office.

Freedom from your run-of-the-mill rom coms, Fox Star Studios and Rose Movies London Paris New York starring Ali Zafar and Aditi Rao Hydari also marks the directorial debut of Anu Menon. Exploring the three iconic cities of the world, the cross-over entertainer mirrors the 3 states of love set in an international scenario. Having been made on a humble budget of 7 crores, the film swept up a worldwide gross collection of over 7.5 cr in its opening weekend.

Says producer Goldie Behl “I’m overwhelmed with the great feedback the film is receiving and it’s encouraging to know that Indian audiences are opening up to coming-of-age cinema”.

“London Paris New York was made on a small budget but with a lot of heart. The film is well on its way to doing what it set out to and we couldn’t be more excited”adds producer Shrishti Arya.

While the film out-performed other releases in urban multiplexes with a 50% jump over the Fri-Sun weekend ,it did exceptionally well in metros like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Punjab.Not to mention its success internationally in the US,UK,Middle-East and Pakistan market.
