~ Liv Ullmann to attend the Videocon IIFA Weekend 2012 and showcase her film ‘Liv and Ingmar’~

As we look forward to the 13th edition of the IIFA Awards in Singapore this year, the Indian Film fraternity is thrilled to learn that legendary actress Liv Ullmann will attend the Videocon IIFA Weekend between the 7-9 June 2012 in Singapore. Liv Ullmann will also showcase her latest film;‘Liv and Ingmar’ that is based on her life story on June 8, 2012 to an exclusive audience.

This is also the first time that an international film will be showcased at the IIFAs to a select audience. Indian film-makers Zoya Akhtar, Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra and Kamal Hasaan among others have expressed great admiration for the actress and look forward to the screening of ‘Liv and Ingmar’. The film is an affectionate yet truthful account of the 42 years and 12 films long association between Liv and master filmmaker, Ingmar Bergman. It is a homage, a candid, humane look, not only at two of the greatest artists of our time, but also at two human beings, two friends, soul mates. Ullmann has contributed in the form of two interviews and readings from her book ‘Changing’. The film was originally conceived, written and directed by London based Indian filmmaker, Dheeraj Akolkar. Other Indian talents that have worked on the film are Editor, Tushar Ghogale and Master Sound Designer, Resul Pookutty. ‘Liv and Ingmar’ is photographed by Norwegian cinematographer Hallvard Braein and the background score is composed by legendary Swedish composer Stefan Nilsson. The film is produced by Oslo based film company NordicStories lead by producer Rune H. Trondsen.

Liv Ullmann said, “The Film called ‘Liv and Ingmar’ is not made by me… but by a young and very creative filmmaker from India – Dheeraj Akolkar. He allowed even me to see many of the most important times of my life in a new and thought evoking way! It somehow changed some of my own memories. It gives me immense pride to be a part of the IIFA celebrations with this film. And I am looking forward to come to Singapore on this occasion…”

Andre Timmins, Director, Wizcraft Entertainment International said, “Liv Ullmann is one of the most beautiful and talented actors of our time.
