have joined together to start day-to-day educational and training of the students. The inauguration programme was held on 1st June 2012 at Goregaon Sports Club, Mumbai. In the evening of the Inauguration, various eminent personalities of Film production and acting were present. The Chairman of IFVT Shri Kuldeep Sinha gave a detailed presentation, described the courses which the institute is going to start and emphasized the need of systematic education in the film industry, which should equip students with academic as well as practical knowledge. He also emphasized that there is an immense need of qualified professionals in the industry. The Chairperson of Mewar University Shri Ashok Kumar Gadiya has assured that the University will prepare and offer the latest syllabus and course curriculum to the students who are seeking their career in the film industry. He also urged the industry stalwarts to promote systematic education so that it can produce academically and technically qualified graduates and post graduates, who will be employable for the industry.

Mewar University will welcome the professionals who want to pursue the research and PhD programme in various branches of the film industry. On this occasion, IFVT also started a quarterly magazine namely “Voice and Vision”, which was highly appreciated by the dignitaries present in the function.

It is my pleasure to share with you about the joyous moments of the Birth of a baby. The Institute of Film & Video Technology came into existence in Mumbai on 1st June 2012 and was crowned as a CENTRE FOR R & D OF MEWAR UNIVERSITY. It is indeed a great beginning for an institute with a mission to provide cinema education a dignity and a professional status that is enjoyed by other professional courses and career.

It was a short and sweet ceremony attended by the Chancellor and Vice chancellor of Mewar University Mr.Ashok Gadia and Dr. Ramesh Chandre respectively accompanied by other acadamicians Dr. Alka Agarwal, Director (management) Dr. Sanjeev Bhanavat Head- Mass Communication Jaipur University and Dr Shahid Ali, Head, Mass communication in KBT University Raipur Mr. SL Balmike, Ex Dean, communication Sagar University. The stalwarts from films and television including Dr Kiran Shantaram ( Raj kamal studios ), Mr Sanjit Narvekar Ace film critic & author,,Veteran film directors Mr Vinod Ganatra & Mr Bhagwan Dorai, with Ms. Suman Bajaj kalra, Mr Vijay Pandey Television Directors of many popular soaps, Actors Mr Pankaj Berry, Mr Akhilendra Mishra, Mr. Ravi khemu, Mr Ravi kaushal, Ace lyricist Mr. Abhilash , Mr. BN Sharna, Managing Director, Sneha Recording Studios and above all the Romantic icon of Indian film industry of yester years MR. BISWAJIT too blessed IFVT .The Programe was anchored by Ms Neeta Bajpayi.

A Quarterly film magazine published by IFVT dedicated to 100 years of cinema VOICE & VISION ( chief editor Mr MK Shankar & Managing Editor Mr Rajesh Sinha ) was also released by esteemed dignitaries on the occasion. It was nice gesture of veteran cameraman and short film maker Mr GL Bhardwaj to gift a 35 MM camera with accessories for the benefit of the students.
