Launch of Aura Art eConnect Pvt Ltd – connecting Indian & Chinese artists
Aura Art Development Pvt Ltd is delighted to announce the creation of “Aura Art eConnect Pvt Ltd”, an entity focussed to serve as a “Global Platform for Fine Art”, through significant online and offline engagements. And what could be a better way to start this journey, then to put together an exclusive event showcasing the best of Indian and Chinese art, coupled with interaction of senior artists from both nations and live demonstrations of art.
The two Giant neighbours, India and China, celebrated the 65th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations on March 31, 2015. To mark this historic occasion, the Consul General of People’s Republic of China, His Excellency, Mr Zheng Xiyuan, hosted a reception for the distinguished guests and artists from India and dignitaries and artists from China, at ITC Grand-Maratha, Sahar Road, Mumbai.
In order to strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries, a special delegation comprising leading luminaries from the world of art and culture visited Mumbai, including:
– Mr Song Ronghua, Secretary General of China Public Diplomacy Association
– Mr Hu Jiebao, Executive VP of China International Art & Business Alliance
– Mr Shu Hnan and Mr Ding Ding, the great film personalities of China who produced in 2010, the world famous Chinese movie, “Lost in Thailand” which revolutionised the growth of Chinese Tourism in Thailand.
The Chinese delegation had an opportunity to rub shoulders with leading Indian dignitaries like:
– Shri Sumit Mullick, Additional Chief Secretary and Chief of Protocol, Govt of Maharashtra
– Mr Adi H Jehangir, Chairman, Jehangir Art Gallery
– Mr Anil Dharker, Eminent Writer and Journalist
– Mr Kiran Shantaram, Indian film personality and former Sheriff of Mumbai
– Mr Daljit Singh Sethi, Chairman, Aura Art
– Mr Jackie Shroff, leading actor
Aura Art e-Connect Pvt Ltd and China Public Diplomacy Association put together the display of Indian and Chinese Art (paintings, sculptures and photographs). On display were the paintings by renowned and respected Chinese artists like Lin Yongsong, Zhu Daoping, Cui Jin and Yin Xioping and Indian artists such as Manjit Bawa, Paramjit Singh, S Yousuf Ali, Prem Singh, Sidharth, Umesh Varma, Veguri Ravindra Babu and Prashant Salvi. The visiting Chinese artists also had the pleasure of interacting with Indian artists such as Dilip Ranade, Prakash Ghadge, Rajendra Kapse.
Rishiraj Sethi, Director, Aura Art eConnect Pvt Ltd presented a broad overview of the global art scene, with special reference to Indian and Chinese art market. Mr Johny ML, reputed art historian, critic and curator presented an interesting perspective of Indian Art History, as relevant to the audience and introduced the Indian artists present and artworks displayed. Akanksha Goenka, part of the Research and Training team at Aura Art introduced the Chinese artists present and reflected on their techniques. Harmeet Sethi, Director, Aura Art eConnect Pvt Ltd organised a walkthrough of the artworks on display. The ceremony was conducted by Ms Gayathri Batra, the renowned media specialist.
The occasion was further electrified by
live demonstration by
Chinese calligraphy artists while Master Sculptor
Ratilal Kansodaria created a sculpture piece and
Prakash Bal Joshi and
Charan Sharma created paintings, alongwith Chinese artists.
