Launch of Anurag Kashyap’s next directorial Venture – ‘UGLY’ !
After the stupendous success of Black Friday, Dev D, and Gangs of Wasseypur 1 & 2, maverick director Anurag Kashyap, along with producers DAR motion pictures and Phantom Films, announced his 11th directorial venture titled ‘UGLY’.
The set up at the venue depicted the ugly part of a city , with stalls ranging from a kite seller, to a pani puri wala, to a goal wala. with the stage being the foot path. The entire feel of the place was of a typical ‘galli’. 
Talking about the film said director Anurag Kashyap , “”Ugly is an emotional film in the garb of a thriller…Its the story of what happens when something which was not supposed to happens, actually happens that we realize how fragile people are, and how Ugly they can become”.

The film is a class apart from any of the director’s previous films, both in terms of scale and setting. This sleek urban thriller explores the undiscovered side of a common man and has will keep the audiences on the edge of their seats, with thrilling moments in true Anurag Kashyap style.

Added producer Vikas Bahl, Phantom Films, “A year without an Anurag Kashyap punch is incomplete. So after Dev D, Gangs of Wasseypur, here is a power packed thriller based in an urban setting… with many layers to discover. Ugly is an ugly story, beautifully told”.
