My Passion, now a Profession; Samaira on her exquisite Shocolaat Boutique

Samaira, a creator who made her passion her profession. From making chocolates tastes by her friends and relatives now deliver her innovative chocolates all over Mumbai. Small and cosy, warm n brown, Shocolaat is back again like a treat much the same way as its chocolates unfold from their lovely wrappings.

Tolani’s tryst with desserts goes back to the days when she was visiting her brother in Miami USA. There, just for a lark, she attended a few bakery classes. The course caught her fancy and she began experimenting on her own. While she initially tried her hand at various desserts, she went on to find her calling in chocolates. Beautifully packaged, her chocolates soon started making their way to friends and family as gifts.

Before she knew it, enquiries and orders started flooding Tolani. That’s when she decided to start taking orders and run her business from home. After four years of runaway success, she launched her chocolate boutique,Shocolaat, in February 2010.

Perhaps the best thing about her creations is the way they are dressed up. Different kinds of stones and embellishments adorn each piece of chocolate giving them an sparkling touch. With a training in trousseau packing, she is never short of ideas when it comes to styling.

Looks apart, another special thing about her chocolates is that they do not melt at room temperature. Go, indulge. After a sabbatical leave samaira is back with a bang of her creations n signature collection … with a varieties of new flavours, Personlised boxes, corporate gifting, lots lots more.

Surprisingly, the 29-year-old creator of these sweet treats, Samaira Tolani, doesn’t indulge in chocolates herself.

Samaira exclaims, “Yes, its true I myself not a big fan of chocolates. Actually, eating chocolates is not my passion, my take is to come out with innovations and combinations in chocolate and serve it to others.”
