Mumbai’s premier destination for artisanal hand-woven sarees
Textile revivalist Mira Sagar, launched the third outlet of her store, Vaya, Mumbai’s premier destination for artisanal sarees at Colaba today(24th June 2014). Carrying forward her decade long association with Hyderabad based designer, Gaurang Shah, Vaya Colaba, just like the other two stores will stock a vast collection of sarees-scarves-stoles-suits in Kanjeevaram, Uppada, Khadi, Kota, Benarasi and Patan Patola from the designer. Gaurang is a favourite with the likes of Kirron Kher who was seen at the store appreciating and trying on various shawls and sarees, Sonam Kapoor and Vidya Balan to name a few from the Indian film fraternity, apart from many others from the world of arts and politics that patronize his craft.
Mira is also very proud to bring to Mumbai for the very first time, Andraab – a label launched in 1996 by three brothers – Muzaffar, Mubashir and Muzakir from Kashmir. Known across continents for their exquisite hand woven Pashmina shawls, Andraab also makes stoles, scarves, bedspreads and wall hangings. Each piece from the house of Andraab is hand woven and uses the finest textiles to create the most luxurious hand
Andraab has admirers from every part of the world and their designs have been worn by various international celebrities and heads of state. Andraab will be exclusively retailed for the very first time in Mumbai, only at Vaya .
