The Indian Terrain Tour of Nilgiris (TfN) 2016 was flagged off last week from Vivanta By Taj, Yeshwantpur, Bengaluru, by Guest of Honour Mr. Bhaskar Rao, IPS, ADGP (Directorate of Civil Rights Enforcement), Bangalore, Mr. Sridhar Pabbisetty, Co – Founder, Tour of Nilgiris and Mr. Charath Narsimhan, CEO, Indian Terrain Fashions Limited in the presence of Mr. Senoj Alexander V (VP & Head Design) Karle Infra Pvt. Ltd.

Indian Terrain TfN 2016 is set to witness 110 riders covering a distance of around 901 kms across Karnataka, Kerala and Tamilnadu. Starting from Bengaluru, cyclists will pedal through towns of Mysuru, Kalpetta, Ooty, Thaishola, Palakkad, Valparai and finally will culminate at Pollachi (close to Coimbatore) in Tamil Nadu.

In its ninth edition, Tour of Nilgiris has grown in stature and participation from across the globe. A total of 110 participants have been selected from over 500 applications received by the organizers to participate in the latest edition of India’s most scenic & endurance testing cycling tour. This year, the event is set to witness participants from Australia, Denmark, New Zealand, Sweden, Germany, USA, UK and India (the host country).

Participants of the Indian Terrain Tour of Nilgiris 2016 will ride through three wildlife sanctuaries – Mudumalai National Park in Tamil Nadu and Nagarhole National Park in Karnataka. The Indian Terrain TFN is set to test the endurance, temperament, physical and mental strength of all participants. To add a dash of competitiveness, Indian Terrain Tour of Nilgiris has a mix of challenging climbs and flat courses at different stages, aimed at testing the riders’ craft and grit.

Organized by RideACycle Foundation (RAC-F), a not-for-profit advocacy organization, the event is aimed at promoting Cycling Tourism.
