Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in their candid best at Jio MAMI Movie Mela with Star
The current mass favourites of the nation the versatile Alia Bhatt and the supremely talented Ranbir Kapoor were up close and personal in their conversation with none other than Karan Johar in the last session of the evening “The Big Talk” at the Jio MAMI Movie Mela with Star.
The session was packed with fun where the two stars spoke about their upcoming projects, families, failures and on competition. On being asked about failure Ranbir said “Failure teaches you a lot. So I am proud to have the failures that I have in my career.” The actors also spoke on nepotism to which Alia said “I do believe it exists. But I don’t want to feel apologetic about it. Everyone wants their posterity to utilize the resources that they make available to them. I don’t want to feel sorry for being my father’s daughter.”
Karan Johar put the actors in a tough spot asking them how they strike a balance between being good actors and movie stars to which Ranbir replied “It’s harder to be a star. When I did Rockstar, Barfi and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. I wasn’t looking to becoming a star but these films eventually made me a movie star.”
Competition was another topic that was touched upon to which Alia and Ranbir both were on the same page. They both spoke extensively about how over the years envy is replaced with being content and now it’s motivating. Alia and Ranbir announced their untitled next release with Ayan Mukerji. The fans got to interact with the stars making it a lifetime experience for them.
