Kangana Ranaut hails Manikarnika as a mission
The much awaited teaser of Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi was released on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti starring Kangana Ranuat. The teaser has been garnering a lot of praise from all quarters and it managed to clock over 12 million views in just 24 hours. Manikarnika is a biopic on Rani Lakshmibai and Kangana’s potryal in the teaser is being praised by one and all.
Helming the entire project on one’s shoulder is never an easy job. But quiz Kangana about it and she says, “I will give credit to my studio. After my two major flops too they okayed the biggest budget female centric film to be made. There is a pressure. We are still filming and there is a lot to do in terms of post-production but I like missions and Manikarnika seems like one”.
Also one could not help but wonder given the size of the pressure and the responsibility that Kangana had, if she was nervous regarding the trailer launch? Answering the same, Kangana Ranaut said, “I was just excited not nervous. I had told my mom and sister Rangoli that they weren’t ready for it. They thought that I was joking but when they finally saw the teaser they were both moved to tears. I kind of knew that the teaser will hit the right cord with the audience. Rani LaxmiBai is one of the most loved people and her story is special. Since people already love her so actually there is very little to be done to get them involved in her story.
