Kalpana Lajmi Finds her Leading lady for “KAANCH”
A well known Indian film director, producer and a script writer, Kalpana Lajmi who is an independent filmmaker working more on realistic cinema, which are known as parallel cinema in India. Her last film chingaari starring shushmita sen, hit the theatres in 2006, And now she is making her comeback after 6 years with a film called “KAANCH” which is a female centric film. The film, stars Saidah Jules and 14 year old Famous Tv Actress Avika gor who is playing the main lead in the film.European beauty Saidah Jules who had created waves in modelling is now all set to impress everyone with her acting abilities as well.
Unlike other western actresses, Saidah Jules is quite comfortable with Indian culture as she has spent some years of her early childhood in Delhi; she is been living in Mumbai for the last 4 years and feels very much at home.” She is working on her Hindi as well.” She made her Bollywood debut under yashraj banner and now she is back with her upcoming film “KAANCH”. She is much excited about the film as it is, more of performance based, women centric film, which she found very challenging, and merit’s kalpana Lajmi for showing so much of belief in her and casting her for the film. According to sources she will be even seen in ‘Oneworld Film’ Productions “JAL” directed by girish malik, in a leading role.
