Jawadekar -Fadnavis Meeting on Environment

Union Minister for Environment, Forests & Climate Change, Mr. Prakash Jawadekar today held an intensive review meeting with the new Maharashtra Chief Minister Mr. Devendra Fadnavis in Mumbai. 
 
The meeting came in the backdrop of hopes of new government in Maharashtra fast tracking some of the key infrastructure development projects.
 
CRZ related issues, construction of coastal roads in Mumbai, Metro II project from Charkop-Mankhurd, approvals for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Smarak in the Arabian Sea and the Baba Saheb Ambedkar Memorial at Dadar, were among the key Mumbai projects that came up for discussion.
 
Mr Jawadekar promised to look into the state’s projects with an open mind in a transparent manner, and convey approvals as soon as possible.  He said, the online application process has enabled applicants to track the status of their projects on real time basis.
 
Maharashtra Chief Secretary Swadheen Kshatriya, senior officials of the Maharashtra Government, MMRDA, BMC, MSRDC, JNPT etc. attended the meeting.
