ISACA India Chapters to Honor Organizations

for Excellence in IT Governance and Information Security

Award entries accepted through 20 March

 

New Delhi,  The India chapters of global IT association ISACA are seeking nominations for the IT Governance Award and the Information Security Award to distinguish organizations that have successfully implemented an appropriate IT governance or IT security framework. Entries are due by 20 March 2014, and the awards will be presented at an event on Friday, 4 April, in Mumbai.

The awards signify independence from the two fundamental problems plaguing the corporate world today: the problem of poor information systems governance and the problem of inadequate information systems security.

The eligibility and criteria for application to the awards are:

1.      IT Governance Award

a.       Organization must have implemented (or be in the process of implementing, with 75% completion of program) an appropriate framework for IT governance (or GRC for IT) across the enterprise.

b.      Organizations must be able to demonstrate to the panel the success criteria on implementation of IT governance (GRC).

2.      Information Security Award

a.       Organization must have implemented (or be in the process of implementing, with 75% completion of program) an appropriate framework for IT security.

b.      Organization must be able to demonstrate to the panel the success criteria on implementation of IT security framework.

Commenting on the awards, Mr. Sunder Krishnan, EVP and Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of Reliance Life Insurance Company Ltd (RLICL) and Chairman of the ISACA India Task Force, said, “ISACA is a pace-setting global association with guidance and good practices that are widely recognized and adopted by practioners worldwide. With the growing acceptance of disruptive technology by companies across industry segments, the ISACA India chapters aim to honor the companies for their achievements in the areas of IT governance and   security. The members adjudicating this award are business and IT leaders across a number of industry segments.
