It was a joyous evening for the junior Chopra girl in the most unexpected style; when she received two awards at the Jaypee IIFA Awards. On receiving the first award for Best Debutante, Parineeti screamed with joy and graciously accepted her award, not forgetting to thank all the important people who made her journey possible. However, when she was called on stage to receive Performance as a Supporting Actress, the young star couldn’t control her emotions and broke down on stage considering all the other nominees up for the award, were in the audience and it came to her unexpectedly. The Chopra girl shared an emotional moment with Preity Zinta, who was present on stage to present the award to Parineeti, and there to pat her cheek dry as the tears rolled down. Later in the evening, crew and spectators saw a jubilant Parineeti run barefoot backstage with her shoes and the 2 awards in tow to an equally excited press room.
