If ‘House of Cards’ can show a threesome, why can’t ‘Love Games’?
Vikram Bhatt’s urban thriller ‘Love Games’ has been all the rage online with its shockingly scandalous trailer and teasers including a sequence showing a sensuously shot threesome. Starring Patralekha, Gaurav Arora and Tara Alisha Berry, the film seems to have raised the bar in Bollywood when it comes to onscreen sex with its characters unapologetic about their sex lives and even experimenting with ideas that haven’t been explored much on the big screen here.
As for the much-talked about and viewed erotic threesome sequence in the film, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt feels the attitude of the Indian audience has changed a lot over the years and they are only playing on people’s fantasies.
Talking about it further, he says, “We are getting certain kind of response since the content is exploding into homes. Our audience is growing. This film is not showing any imaginative explicit content but rather a source of environment. It is more like holding a mirror. It is not perceived. These are sexual fantasies that people can’t look away from. The Indian attitude has drastically changed over these years. When a threesome can be shown in ‘House of Cards’ in the White House, then what is the issue in ‘Love Games’?”
Written and directed by Vikram Bhatt, the film is presented by T-Series and Mahesh Bhatt. Produced by Mukesh Bhatt & T-Series, ‘Love Games’ stars Gaurav Arora, Tara Alisha Berry and Patralekha and is slated to release on 8th April, 2016.
