I&B Minister Manish Tewari to present media and marketing
Leadership Awards in Mumbai on Saturday
Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting, Mr. Manish Tewari will present the first International Advertising Association’s IAA Leadership Awards in Mumbai on Saturday, honouring individuals in the field of marketing, advertising and media.
The awards instituted by the India chapter of the International Advertising Association, are meant to recognize individual’s professional contribution, performance excellence and innovative thinking that lead to success of their products or brands.
The awards will be presented in 18 categories, including Media Agency of the Year, Creative Agency Head, Best CEO, Media Person of the Year, best Editor, best News Anchor, Marketing head of the year in Banking, Insurance, automobile, telecom, FMCG products, travel and hospitality, among others.
The winners will be decided in a two-stage selection process; the first stage will include nominations and short-listing by marketing, media and advertising professionals; and the second stage will be the final selection of winners by a voting process among the shortlisted nominees, by respective senior industry peers. IAA has appointed A C Nielsen to execute the nomination and voting process. Ernst & Young has been appointed to conduct audit and validate the entire process.
The IAA Leadership Awards will be presented annually, and President, International Advertising Association, Srinivasan Swamy says “these annual awards, over time will be seen as the most coveted recognition an industry practitioner will receive for all his hard work and leadership qualities, that brought about success to the product/brand.”
It is expected that over 350 senior marketing, advertising and media professionals from all over the country are expected to attend the first Awards function. General Entertainment Channel Colors is the presenting sponsor of the Awards.
