Everyone is aware of the television czarina Ekta Kapoor’s incredible journey and her long standing association with Zee TV. Together they have given audiences some hit shows like Hum Paanch, Pavitra Rishta, Kasamh Se, Jodha Akbar, Kumkum Bhagya, Kundali Bhagya and many more. At the recently held Zee Rishtey Awards 2017, it was a ‘Rishta Mubarak’ moment for Ekta when the channel commemorated their long standing relationship by awarding her with the ‘Khaas Rishta’ award.
Over the past 25 years, Zee TV has created stories that have resonated with the sensibilities of the Indian middle class, mirroring their hopes and aspirations. It has, from time to time, acknowledged and awarded the various talents that have been instrumental in making this journey a success. Ekta, who was elated on receiving the award from Mr Punit Goenka, also reminisced her earlier days with the channel, while sharing some fond memories.
Describing her journey with Zee TV as a very enjoyable one, Ekta also mentioned that the channel played a very significant role in establishing her as one the most sought after creative minds in the industry. She said, “I am what I am because of Zee TV.”
The producer spoke about how the channel backed her first ever project – Hum Paanch and encouraged her to experiment with content and various subjects for her shows. She also thanked the channel for giving her a platform to showcase her talent and by backing her projects vehemently.
