Himesh Reshammiya and lyricist Sameer Anjaan reunite for Ramesh Taurani’s next !
Sony Entertainment Television’s kids singing reality show Superstar Singer has become one of Indian television’s favourite non-fiction shows with the immensely talented young artists who aspire to become household names in the Indian music industry. The judges of the show are the iconic singers Yagnik, Himesh Reshammiya, Javed Ali. The show also has a lot of star power with the judges of the being music industry icons Alka their list of celebrity guest stars such as Kumar Sanu and Udit Narayan. The latest additions to the list are the ‘Ye kaali Kaali Ankhen’ composer Anu Malik and Bollywood’s one of the favourite lyricists Sameer Anjaan. On the show, Himesh shared about his long association with the lyricist Sameer Anjaan.
Himesh said, “Sameer Anjaan has made a significant contribution in my career. My first song was written by him and then he has gone on to help me with several blockbusters. And even though there was a small break in between, now we are back together working on Ramesh Taurani’s upcoming project. Working together again was an amazing experience, just sitting down making an exceptional song and then the recording coming out beautifully made feel so elated. I’m excited to work with him on more songs.”
The judge went on to praise Sameer Anjaan and said, “the industry we work in is an actor’s industry and even after people like Sameer Ji working being in the industry for such a long time and giving the industry so many hits, their credit gets lost somewhere in the way. Credit where credit is due, Sameer Anjaan’s work is legendary, but in our country where singers do not become superstars, iconic lyricist like Sameer Ji get love from the fans but they do not get the appreciation and credit as much as they deserve.”
Himesh Reshammiya and Sameer Anjaan are working together on Ramesh Taurani’s movie. Famous faces like Diljit Dosanjh and Yami Gautam will also be seen in the movie.
