Here’s why Phobia’s marketing strategies are absolutely brilliant!
Ever since the first look and trailer of Bollywood’s first-of-its-kind kind psychological thriller Phobia featuring Radhika Apte has been launched, the movie has garnered good buzz and made all the right noises and has piqued everyone’s curiosity.
Considering that it’s a psychological thriller, the makers including producers Eros International, Viki Rajani, director Pavan Kirpalani and Radhika along with the film marketing team have chalked out innovative promotional campaign and activities surrounding the movie that has certainly created good buzz among the film buffs.
Not many know that Phobia has number of firsts to its credit. Besides being one-of-a-kind psychological thriller, the makers have incorporated Virtual Reality technology, a first for a Bollywood film.
Through an exemplary and highly innovative PR and marketing strategy, the makers also launched a web series featuring Radhika showcasing different types of phobias. Also, the latest ‘Short & Scary’ video features showcasing three spooky stories went viral taking the internet by storm. Interestingly, B-town accepting Radhika’s challenge of sharing their phobias on social networking sites is also trending online.
A source says, “Because Phobia is not a run-of-the-mill psychological thriller, the makers along with the marketing team didn’t want to do the regular activities that are being done to promote the film, ensuring that the entire promotional campaign was radical, new and breaks the clutter.”
Produced by Eros International and Next Gen Films, and directed by Pavan Kirpalani, Phobia is scheduled to release 27th May.
