Opening with ‘Punjabiyaan Di Battery’ – the first time Mika and Yo Yo Honey Singh have collaborated, a track guaranteed to get your batteries charged.
Following this is a track that reinvents the three most important words a guy can tell a girl when he is crazy about her. ‘Main Senti Hoon’, sung by Jaspreet Jasz and Shalmali Kholgade is a peppy and romantic club track that will make you… er… senti.
The third track on the album, ‘Haaay!’ has been composed, scored and sung by one of the biggest music producers in the world, Panjabi MC. The man behind the worldwide smash hit ‘Mundian te bach ke’. The track featuring the voice of Manake is one helluva groovy and thumping number.
The fourth track on the album is ‘Hip Hip Hurrah’. Sung by Sonu Kakkar, with some insane lyrics. In the words of the music composer, Sachin and lyricist, Kumaar, this track is the butter chicken of the album. And it’s yummy!
The title track, ‘Mere Dad Ki Maruti’ has none other than the superstar of Punjab, Diljit Dosanjh lending his voice. He is popular for his collaboration with Yo Yo Honey Singh on Goliyaan, and his solo hits like Radio and more. This one is an instant earworm.
The album ends with a dish best served mashed up. ‘Mere Dad Ka Mash Up’ is a special track mixed by DJ Shadow and DJ Raamji Gulati with some extra Punjabi tadka in it.
Get ready for an outrageous comedy set against the backdrop of a loud Punjabi wedding in Chandigarh. MDKM tells the story of a boy who sneaks his dad’s fancy new car out to impress the college hottie and how all hell breaks loose when he loses it!
