Gauri Shinde’s “English Vinglish” wins Best Visiting Artist Award at the Cinema Society of San Diego !
Gauri Shinde’s film “Enlish Vinglish produced by Hope Productions and Eros International, that released last Ocober, seems to be leaving its footprints even now. Hugely acclaimed and successful it recently won the Best Visiting Artiste Award at the Cinema Society of San Diego.
Announcing the win, Andrew Friedenberg, Director of Cinema Society San Diego, said, “You did it! You made history! As the founder and director of the Cinema Society of San Diego, I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2012-2013 season Best Visiting Artist Award, as voted on by our members, has gone to… English Vinglish!. In fact, it wasn’t even close–you dominated the voting! My congratulations to all of you for your appearance, your enthusiasm, your professionalism, and your kindness at our 29th season finale.”
