With International Women’s Day round the corner, Bollywood Superstar Kajol has urged women to look after their health and wellbeing. “As a mother, wife, sister, daughter, you are precious, and the centre of your family’s universe, and you owe it to them to look after yourselves. Women’s Wellness is crucial, and should extend through the ages,” she said.
Kajol was speaking at ‘Women Wellness – Through The Ages’ , a special wellness forum organized by Hinduja Healthcare Surgical, Khar (HHS Khar), through its dedicated Women’s Wellness Clinic. The event was compered by popular actor and celebrity Mandira Bedi. The platform saw pre-eminent doctors of HHS Khar stress upon the need for women to take control of their health and make informed decisions to lead a healthy life.Entry for the event was for women only, and free of cost. However, registration was mandatory, and more than 500 women from Mumbai registered and turned up. For every one of the registered participants, Hinduja Healthcare Surgical Women’s Wellness Clinic at Khar is providing a mammography examination at half the cost.
Superstar Kajol said, “A healthy woman is the foundation of every happy family. Women are meticulous in everything, especially looking after their families and loved ones. But sadly, when it comes to looking after their own health, they can be rather negligent, and can therefore end up facing multiple health concerns right from their adolescence to post-menopausal stages. Many of these issues remain undiagnosed and unaddressed simply because women tend to neglect their own health.
