Jawaani Jaaneman is a millennial story and coming of age, urban family drama about living life to the fullest.
Jawaani Jaaneman Fully justifies the very fact that when it comes to blood relations, emotions always run high and you just can’t get away from bonding, connecting and relating by running away from it be it Period – Time Frame or the Liberated LifeStyle you have adopted today carried on from over the years.
The highlight of the film is the unconventional story line but very much contemporary and relatable. Hats off to Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh for backing and after seeing the film it seems are all set to entertain the audience with their quirky rom-com Jawaani Jaaneman.
The film features A-list actors Saif Ali Khan who once again surprises with his easy come easy go approach to his character of Jazz an urban cool dude based in London, who is just looking and living his life of a Casanova whose only aim is to party day In and day out with nobody to stand for and care for. He is running Real Estate business with his brother played by Kumud Mishra donning a Sardar Pagri.
When out of blue enters a character in Jazz’s life who creates a sensation of sorts and turns his life upside down when he meets the girl.
Saif’s transition from a life full of indulgences to a doting, caring and concerned guardian is a treat to watch. In all I can just sum it up as Saif was at his versatile Best
Especially the duet scenes were amazing and it goes to the credit of National Award Winning Director Niti Kakkar to be able to extract those delicate moments between Saif and Alaya and give it an wholesome family touch. Combined scenes of them with Kumud Mishra and the grand parents were beautifully executed. One scene where Alaya ‘s Joy knows no bounds when she meets her dads family and her camaraderie with all of them will leave you Emotionally charged for sure. Nitin Kakkar has delivered yet another price worthy entertainer to be enjoyed.
Alaya Furniturewala – playing the role of Tia is the sensational sensation and what a confident Bollywood debut ! Just the kind of charm and spunk required to flow through her role with the ease of a veteran✅ She projects herself very nicely and has a great Bollywood innings ahead. An out and out author backed tailer made role which she delivers with aplomb !!!!!
In pivotal, supporting roles are Chunky Pandey with nothing much to do tries his best to stay in loop.
Kubbra Sait, who needs a special mention for giving an all new twist to the character and making it more meaningful in the midst of the madness she was surrounded by?
Kumud Mishra was his usual refined self and as a dignified family senior puts in his best.
Finally Tabu ! What can you say about her ? She lifts the scene by getting into the skin of the character with her utmost input and makes it her own turf. She has a strong screen presence and virtually lends credence to the character on hand. After years of watching Tabu on the big screen, it was interesting to watch her play the role of a hippie mother with her ‘I don’t care’ attitude.
Foot-tapping songs from Jawaani Jaaneman “Gallan Kardi” and “Ole Ole 2.0” are beautifully incorporated and both the remakes add to the momentum in taking the narrative forward.
All in All Very Much an Wholesome Entertainer without being pretentious but at the same time sending a message loud and clear that Life is all about Caring, Sharing, Relationships and A Journey to be Cherished while keeping on Celebrating every moment as they come.
