Fashion Designer Amy Billimoria gives Holi tips….
Once again it’s the most colourful festival of the year Holi! And being the most fun filled event involving color as well as water it is extremely important not only to dress well but dress correct!
A lot of people prefer wearing whites as it provides a clean canvas for the array of colours….This season I would urge the fashionistas to reuse and recycle old denims, faded tees , outfits that are not so in so they lie in the closet, etc and help in the cause of Global Warming!
The most important is to wear light fabrics and free flowing styles so as to allow the body to breathe and allow freedom of movement.Denims in Capri lengths or shorts are both ideal for men and women! This is a good day for the men to sport the short tunic styled shirts with loose cotton pants if you want to dress different. Colourful patiala Salwars teamed with basic short kurtas or tee back tees would be stylish for the young girls. Most importantly avoid sheer body clingy fabrics or materials that are aversive to water… Dress cool and enjoy the festival of the rainbow!
