‘RUT NE JO BANSI BAJAYI’
As the familiar sounds of `Garba’ resound across the city, itis clear that the season of Navratri has begun. Keeping with the spirit of festivities, Universal Music India today launched‘Rut Ne Jo BansiBajayi’–the brand new studio album from Falguni Pathak, a name synonymous with the festival.Her latest album consists of six melodious romantic songs including the lead single and video track“Rut Ne Jo BansiBajayi”. The album symbolizes Falguni’s appreciation for all her fans that have supported and loved her music.
Following the release of her debut album ‘YaayPiya Ki AaneLagi’ in 1998 with Universal Music, Falguni shot straight to the big leagues with a subsequent success in the release of her second album the ‘Maine PayalHaiChhankai’ in 1999. By 2000, Falguni had become a household name in the genre of `popular’music, even making it to the MTV Video Music Awards as the Indian Viewer’s Choice.
With the release of her brand new album, both Universal Music and Falguni are confident of repeating the success of her previous albums. Speaking about the albumand her association with Universal Music, Falguni says, “I am very happy to be going back to my roots and have enjoyed singing for this album. I hope everyone loves listening to this album as much as I have loved creating it. I’m also very excited to release this album with Universal Music as they’ve supported me completely since the beginning of my career”
While the singer is known for her phenomenal voice, it is her strong presence on stage and the entertainment quotient that she brings to every one of her events that has earned her the indubitable title of ‘Dandiya Queen’. With a penchant for the traditional folk music of Gujarat she blends the time-honored tunes of Garba music with quick paced beats to create her own brand of contemporary music. An acclaimed musician, Falguni has a massive fan following in the country as well as abroad.
