Claudia’s ‘Yaar Pardesi’ all set to hit big screen this week

The Punjabi movie buffs will get an opportunity to see the German model Claudia Ciesla pairing up with the local standup comedian Gurpreet Ghuggi in “Yaar Pardesi” which is set to release this week.                                         

Playing as one of the leads Claudia will not only be speaking Punjabi but will also tickle your bones with comic punches in this comedy drama. “Yaar Pardesi” is a story of an NRI girl who comes to Punjab from Canada with her foreigner friend to find a guy who has cheated her sister. But accidentally the girls bump into “Kuku” played by Gurpreet Ghuggi at the airport. Later the story unfolds with a lot of twists and turns. The movie displays the quest of the model to search that guy meanwhile developing the relations between the characters and adding the touch of the comedy. Director Gurbir Singh Grebal has brought forth a queue of talented stars in the film.

Claudia who portrays as one of the NRI girl is excited about her project and beams, “I am very happy to have been a part of this film. It was a great experience working with the cast and crew of the film who all are accomplished professionals but working with Director Gurbir Singh Grewal who is Legend in Punjabi films, serials and other cultural activities, made my efforts worth everything. I have made an attempt to speak Punjabi in this film and I hope audience appreciates it.”

Alongside Claudia, Gurpreet Ghuggi, the RJ Dhanveer, Vandana Singh,Navdeep Kaler, Bindu Dhillon, BN Sharma, Raghveer Boli,Tarsinder Singh, Anita Meet, Anita Sabdessh, Sanjeev Rai and Rupinder Barnala will be seen in the movie.

This is also the first ever Punjabi movie shot with the sync sound by a Canada trained sound engineer Avneet Grewal (Ricky). The music has been given by Surinder Bachan and Gurpreet Paldher and the lyrics have been penned by Babu Singh Mann ,Jaggi singh,Gurpreet Pandher and Boli .

The cast and crew of the movie are optimistic about the movie. As per the Movie critics the Punjabi comedy movie has a lot to offer and a large rush in the multiplexes would be expected especially after the success of its predecessors -“Jatt and Julit” and “Carry on Jatta”.

However, how well the film does at the Box Office will though be judged by the public yet it sure will be a treat to watch the firangi model with a desi tadka as she dons a Punjabi suit -parandi and speaks, if not flattering, but tidbits in Punjabi.
