The tedious sessions of riyaz and phenomenal creativity chiseled the voices that shot Raga Boyz into the lime light. As the 9th generation of Patiala’s royal splendors beacons, the raga boyz carry on the legacy. This brother quadrant band is the transformation of legacy into today’s modern singing, while maintaining their forefather’s great contribution in eastern music. So far the band has already performed and gained love from their fans all around the globe. The band’s forte is that they perform all sorts of music- Pop, Rock, R & B, Heavy Metal, Sufi, Classical, and Fusion etc. However their general emphasis is on Classical music.
The lineage of Raga Boyz goes back to Ustad kaluji, (darbar gayake of Maharaja Bhupindar Sing) followed by his sons, and the greatest singers of their era, ustad General Ali Baksh and ustad Barey Fateh Ali Khan. The band Raga Boyz is the ninth generation of this family. This family won 5 National Awards pride of performance and 2 “Sitara-e-Imtiaz”. Sitara-e-Imtiaz is a biggest award of Pakistan.
