Break-ups can be ugly and so can girl problems, Alia Bhatt has a perfect solution for it!
‘Blush’ and Garnier join hands with Dear Zindagi to celebrate the spirit of self-belief~
We live in a world surrounded by a thick wall of social insecurities, which is difficult for people to break out of. This holds true especially for girls as they are largely affected by the virtual world of social media which reinforces judgement through a standard of perception. Culture Machine’s digital channel for women ‘Blush’ and Garnier collaborated with Red Chillies Entertainment to create a video titled, ‘I Heart Me’ around the upcoming movie ‘Dear Zindagi’ featuring Bollywood’s youth icon and stunning actress Alia Bhatt. It focuses on the importance of loving oneself and stop seeking external validation.
In this video Alia Bhatt is seen having a video call with two of her friends, their conversation is a direct reflection of daily life problems faced by most girls. Dear Zindagi is a movie, which delves into different issues faced by the youth today, and dilemmas they regularly go through. One of the biggest issues faced by youngsters is maintaining and living up to a social profile, this directly connects to the video ‘I Heart Me’. Worldly prejudice is not the advocator of personal decisions and it does not have the power to make a person feel inconsequential without their consent. Don’t let others decide who you are and what you can do, decide it for yourself. Girls, it’s time to take the reins of life in your own hands and become your own knight in shining armour!
Pankaj Sharma, General Manager, Garnier India added, “Garnier has always encouraged women to take the world in their stride with self-assurance. Alia Bhatt perfectly embodies the spirit of a girl who can take on any challenge, while ensuring that she doesn’t lose herself in the process and does small things that make her happy. We’re proud to be working with Alia and Blush towards the ‘I Heart Me’ initiative as we believe it connects with the ever evolving young and digitised consumer. As a brand, we feel we can help these young women with active and quick skin care solutions which are natural, healthy and relatable to them.”
Blush released a statement, “It’s very important for girls to stop judging themselves and altering their personalities as per popular notions. As a brand ‘Blush’ has always believed in the idea of empowering women and strive to make it a widely appreciated concept. We collaborated with Garnier and Red Chillies Entertainment to spread this message and Alia Bhatt being an idol for young girls was the best choice to put across our point.”
Self-esteem and self-confidence are your best friends for life, always keep them by your side and they will never let that smile fade away.
Dear Zindagi has been helmed by the director of the critically acclaimed English Vinglish, Gauri Shinde and has been jointly produced by Gauri Khan, Karan Johar and Gauri Shinde under the banners of Red Chillies Entertainment, Dharma Productions, and Hope Productions respectively.
