Bevy of stars launch ‘Purani Jeans’ music at Hard Rock Café
The music for ‘Purani Jeans’ was launched at a star studded event at at Hard rock Café, Mumbai on 16th April. An exclusive unplugged version of the song ‘Dil Aaj Kal’ sung by Sona Mohapatra was also unveiled.
Director Tanushri Chatterji Bassu, when asked to talk about her film, said, “It has been an absolutely wonderful journey and Ram Sampath has been a great companion. He has given us such lovely music and for a debut director to have this kind of music in a film is an absolute honour”.
Ram Sampath, music composer for ‘Purani Jeans’, “I am really excited about the film. I think, in many ways, that this is my journey back to melody, beautiful melodies…really romantic. You know, it’s what we grew up on.” He went on to thank Tanushri for this opportunity and for this wonderful film.
The lively Music Concert was hosted by Tanuj Virwani and Aditya Seal. Apart from Ram Sampath and Sona Mohapatra, the event witnessed the presence of talented artists like KK,
Mika Singh and the cast of ‘Purani Jeans’, who also showcased their talents by singing a few of their favourite melodies.
‘Purani Jeans’ is produced by Eros International and NextGen Films, and is directed by Tanushri Chattrji Bassu. The movie stars Tanuj Virwani, Aditya Seal and Izabelle Leite, and revolves around the rekindling of old bonds between a young boy and his hometown folks.
It is slated to release on 2nd May 2014.
