Benefits of Development to reach Poorest of Poor- Ramdas Athwale
“The Central Government under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken several decisions in the previous three years. It is the policy of the Government to take the benefits of development to the poorest of the poor person in the society” said Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Shri Ramdas Athawale.
He was addressing a Press Conference at Thane (Maharashtra) on Wednesday in connection with Good Governance Outcome and Three years Achievements of the Central Government.
He informed that the road building per day has gone up from 66 Kms. In the year 2012-2013 to 130 Kms. under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana registering the growth of 78% . Shri Athawale also stated that under the Stand Up Scheme for entrepreneurs,action has been taken on 19949 applications and Rupees 4114 crores were already distributed.
In one of the important financial inclusion schemes, Pradhan Mantri Jandhan Yojana, 28 crores accounts have been opened he added. The BHIM APP which was launched on 30th December, 2016 has been downloaded by nearly 2 crore citizens so far. In United Nations E-governance index India has scaled 11 steps up. E-Governance transactions were showing an increase from nearly 66 Lacs (2013) to over 3 crores(2017). More than 2 crore women were given LPG connection under UJWAL Scheme the Minister informed.
