After much speculation and controversy, the Hindi version of Vishwaroop, distributed by Balaji Motion Pictures, saw its release today.
Having been cleared by the Censor Board, the film which created political upheaval, strongly gains support by each passing day and will see its Hindi release in over 1000 screens across the country, thanks to Balaji Motion Pictures, who have gone all out to ensure that the film receives the treatment befitting a pedigreed product.
Says Tanuj Garg, CEO-Balaji Motion Pictures, “Vishwaroop is a nationwide revolution. People are sick of this idiotic banning virus that is spreading at an alarming rate. The film has released and bagged outstanding acclaim. Balaji is glad to have been associated with the film’s Hindi version as the national distributor!”
Says a source, “Not just the Hindi film industry but the common man too is miffed about the developments on Vishwaroop but figures commenting on the content of the film without even watching it leading to all kinds of speculation. Everyone has been upset with the ban that some political forces wanted levy on the film and took a strong stand to ensure that it wasn’t treated as a soft target….Balaji has gone all out to release the film across a thousand screens pan-India.”
Not many people know that Jeetendra ji and Kamal Haasan go back a long way and are very close friends, making this battle a matter of personal and professional importance.
Says Ekta Kapoor, “We will give the Hindi version of Vishwaroop, the best possible release…The film has generated tremendous buzz. We are happy to support the film and Kamal ji in our own way.”
