Nowmaking his acting debut in JA Entertainment’s Vicky Donor ,little did former VJAyushmann Khurrana know ,that an impromptu song he wrote in college would nowmark his musical debut in the contemporary comedy.
VJturned actor Ayushmann has composed ,penned the lyrics and sung for a songtitled “Paani” – A Punjabi love ballad he had written in college years ago,that has now been included in the film given that it went perfectly with themood and setting of the movie.
Talkingabout how things fell into place says Ayushmann “One day I was sitting withShoojitda discussing which music director to rope in among other things. Ihappened to be carrying my guitar that day and mentioned the song I had written8 years ago. He asked me to play it and ended up loving it. So we used it inthe film” stating that he couldn’t have asked for a better platform as opposedto having a mediocre release online.
“Ihad written the song way back in 2003 while I was in college, along with myfriend Rochak Kohli who now heads a radio station .It’s a love ballad and sincewe haven’t really had a Punjabi love ballad in Bollywood for a long time, itsgoing to be interesting” adds Ayushmann.

Directed by Shoojit Sircar thefilm marks the acting debut of VJ turned actor AyushmannKhurrana ,who plays a Punjabi cricket player cum sperm donor in love with a Bengali girl, played by televisionactress Yami Gautam.
