With the release of SajidNadiadwala’s Housefull 2 just around the corner, no one could be as excited asAsin who joins the ensemble starcast in the rib-tickling comedy.
As the masala –entertainerreleases tomorrow and with the film’s promotions in full swing ,the actressshows no sign of fatigue as she talks excitedly about the film “I am glad I could be part of this film. Housefull 2 isa very unpretentious film. It is about entertaining the masses. You have tocome with that mentality Just being part of an experience like this or just thefact that both Sajids, the producer Sajid Nadiawala and director Sajid Khan,have a successful track record in this kind of commercial cinema made me wantto be part of this film.”
Talkingabout her character in the film says Asin “I play Henna who is Chintuji’s(Rishi Kapoor’s) daughter. We live in Londonand are at war with my uncle (Randhir Kapoor) and his family. I keep gettinginto fights with Jacqueline who plays his daughter. Besides, this mad dozen isunder one roof! As far as Henna goes, it is best not to intellectualize thecharacter, as this is a laugh-a-minute comedy,”
Theactress is also excited to be working with some of the industry’s biggestveterans. “This is the first time I have worked with each of these actors, someveterans in the Hindi film industry. When will I get to work again withMithunda, Chintuji, Randhir Kapoor and Boman?” adds Asin.
Asinis also all praise for co-star Akshay Kumar ,who she pairs with on-screen forthe first time .Says Asin “Akshay is a lot of fun. I think he is a good balanceof professionalism mixed with fun. He is very disciplined about maintaininghimself, about his work, about his punctuality yet he is a prankster, very laidback, has a good sense of humour and a wonderful comic timing and is witty.”
