Actor Ashutosh Rana talks about his new book ‘Ram Rajya’ at the Tagore International Literature & Arts Festival in Bhopal
Bhopal, Actor Ashutosh Rana was in Bhopal yesterday to participate in the ongoing Tagore International Literature & Arts Festival ‘Vishwa Rang’. While interacting with the media on this occasion, he said, “I believe that Bhopal is the cultural capital of India. Therefore, it is commendable that the initiative of ‘Vishwa Rang’ has been taken in Bhopal city in an effort to get closer to our cultural roots.”
He also talked about his upcoming book ‘Ram Rajya’ that will be released on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. He said, “I am fortunate enough to have read Ramayan, listened to it as well as performed in Ramleela. The way I see the Maryada Purushottam, I have tried to narrate those incidents through ‘Ram Rajya’. I am sure that you will enjoy that novel.”
When asked whether he prefers movies or theatre, he said, “I enjoy acting; the platform does not really matter. I have done a historical web series called ‘Chhatrasal Bundela’, from which I am beginning my stint on the web platform.
Movies, theatre, television and the web are all mediums for promoting, broadcasting and improving your acting. A medium is useful when you have content and we should make sure that the medium does not become bigger than the content.”
