“Set out to be a Politician, landed up in Bollywood,”

Her story is Bollywood like; she had to be in Bollywood. You will watch this innocent girl-next – door in one of the Bollywood’s promising dance movies; Sachindra Sharma’s Mumbai can dance Saalaa. Here is Ashima’s story.
The popular girl in college, one fine evening during a special performance dancing like nobody’s watching, little did she know, she had already caught the attention and that her life would change.
Proudly being the President of Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Ashima performed a dance on the stage in the presence of Sachindra Sharma, writer of My Friend Ganesha fame.
From the mouth of the director of ‘Mumbai Can Dance Saala himself, Sachindra mentions, “I was in Jodhpur attending a college festival, it was then when I spotted this young pretty girl dancing like no other on the stage. At that very moment I wanted her to be a part of my movie. Soon after the performance i approached her.”
Ashima had some other plans, being closely associated to Vasundhra Raje, everyone around Ashima & even she knew that she would land up to be a politician, maybe an MLA. But before being a politician, we are going to see her in a Bollywood Dance movie.
Ashima gears up to begin shooting in the coming month mentions, “This is a complete 180 degree life change. I was to compete the elections this December but I’ll be shooting. I have high respect for Sachindra Sir, I am grateful to him for noticing me and giving me an opportunity but it was some serious convincing business that he had to do to get me to sign the film. He patiently narrated the story and it clicked.”
The trained dancer that Ashima is…the dance movie is a bonus, “I am a trained dancer so being a part of a dance movie did sound pretty exciting. I decided to give it a try. I moved to Mumbai, took acting lessons and attended few workshops as suggested by Sachindra Sir. I am all ready now.”
Mujhe Meri Heroine Mil Gayi… this is exactly what Sachindra said when he saw her… just like a movie.
