Asha Bhosle sings a Lavani for a Marathi film ‘Gurukul’
Legendary Bollywood singer Asha Bhosle has lent her voice for Marathi film ‘Gurukul’. The octogenarian singer, who has made songs like and ‘Dum maaro dum’ evergreen, has recorded a lavani for the film, which is produced and directed by Rommel Rodgrigues.
“Ashaji’s melodious voice has been given an outstanding treatment for the lavani that we have in the film. The song has been set in a very apt situation and is not used as filler,” said Rodgrigues in a statement.
The song has been written by Prashant Ingole and the music has been composed by Sanjay Raj Gaurinandan. Starcast of Gurukul is led by Nagesh Bhosle along with Vidhyadhar Joshi. Other supporting artistes are Swapnil Joshi, Prashant Mohite, Pradip Kunvar, Sonali Shevale, Neha Khan, Rinna, Asit Redij, Umesh Bolake & Anil Sutar.
The film is about politicization of higher education in Maharashtra. Gurukul is presented by Anil Kabra, who said that this film is releasing on 7th August 2015 all over Maharashtra. PR & marketing is handled by Mauli Motions PRO Deepak Chaudhari.
