Anushka Khanna, Felix Bendish and Izi Atelier Presented Grand Shows at the Usha Talent Box during Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2012
ANUSHKA KHANNA SHOWED A VERSATILE COLLECTION AT USHA TALENT BOX
Mumbai, Friday, August 3, 2012: Anushka Khanna’s collection was all about infusing art with clothing. Taking inspiration from mosaic work her collection titled, ‘Floral Fragments’ was a blend of Victorian romanticism with the rigidity and classical structure of this renaissance art.
Using fabrics such as silks, georgettes and crepes, the designer kept her silhouettes free flowing and feminine, with a surreal appeal.
For embellishments, coloured thread and sequins were played with, to help accentuate the frames, giving them an almost other-worldly edge. Transposing from modern to ethnic, this collection also included saris as well as flared skirts which displayed both mosaic prints as well as patterned beadwork.
For an added edge some pieces also sported layering, sheer elements, intricate surface texturing; with the colour palette of this collection boasting colours and shades such as greys, pinks, oranges among neon tones. The collection also comprised a range of jackets, tunics, dresses and blazers.
Modern, fun and feminine this range is for the young diva who likes to be in the spotlight.
FELIX BENDISH DISPLAYED AMAZING ACCESSORY OPTIONS FOR THE COMING SEASON AT USHA TALENT BOX
Felix Bendish, an accessory designer dazzled the audience with his collection titled ‘Flow’. The line comprised brooches, necklaces, hair accessories, cuffs as well as clutches, showcasing everything a fashionista could possibly dream of.
Using Swarovski crystals as well as large juicy gemstones, Felix played with designs which ranged from abstract to symmetry, to large statement pieces which seemed to break effortlessly into flowing designs.
The colour palette of this range included an intriguing mix – from neon bold colours such as orange and pink to more subdued, ethereal midnight blues.
Amidst the stones, cleverly used sleek feathers and sequin work, helped add a funky edge, while gold chords elevated the modern poised appeal of ‘Flow’.
Not just focusing on wearable art, Felix also displayed eye catching candy-like clutches set with regal stones. Not to miss was also a unique bolero jacket piece embellished in semi precious stones and sporting long tassels.
Experimental yet timeless, a perfect blend of the two, this collection is a must have for any blue-blooded diva.
