The reboot film in the spider-man series is all set to hit the Indian theatres on 29th June but before the release of the film comes revelations never heard before. The Spider-man star Andrew Garfield in an interview revealed that to play Spider-man had always been his dream.
The star says that as a toddler when he would play superheroes with his brother he would often opt for the role of Spider-man “I related to Peter Parker so much because I felt like someone else inside. I loved the comic books and animated TV series, and I even dressed up as a Spider-man as a kid. My brother was Superman.” The star has always been a spidey fan and has had a copy of Spider-man Issue 6 signed by Stan Lee.
The actor was 18 when Raimi and Maguire’s first spidey flick hit the theatres. “That rekindled everything,” Garfield says. “I bought a pirated copy and watched it over and over with my buddy!” The role not only holds place of importance in the actor’s life but also means a lot to his parents. “It was really moving for them as well, because they know how much this character has meant to me since I was a kid.”
