Akhil Mishra shuns away Mahesh Bhatt’s film Aashiqui 2, wishes Aamir Khan
Akhil Mishra is a veteran in the field of theatre, television and films. One of the names in the industry whom the Bollywood lovers have seen across screens in Don, Gandhi My Father, Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, and 3 Idiots. In the Filmfare award-winning movie, Mishra played one of the most significant scenes where he portrayed the character of Librarian Dubey.
Having shared the screen with Aamir Khan, he sends his good wishes for Khan’s new film Taalash. “Aamir Khan is one of the most talented actors I have ever shared the screen with. The Indian suspense thriller of Aamir and Kareena will be a huge success, considering the fact that both of them make a good couple on the screen,” revealed Mishra.
Akhil portrays Umed Singh Veer Singh Bundela’s father in the hugely popular daily soap Uttaran broadcasted on Colours that recently completed its 1000 episodes. “My co-actors are almost like family to me and it just feels that we just started shooting yesterday. It feels great to see how we have progressed as a team and we have shared sets over 3 years.” added Mishra.
The actor looks for good scripts and never shies away from being selective when it comes to taking roles, be it in the small or big screen. Akhil had to turn down a lucrative offer from Mahesh Bhatt, as he found there was an unconvincing script for his character. Akhil was proposed to play the father of Shradha Kapoor in Bhatt’s upcoming film Aashiqui 2.
Mishra: I always wanted to work with the Bhatt team as we have known each other for a long time.Hope it will work out in a different project..Just the character has to be interesting and hopefully unusual” smiles the actor…
