After Zila Ghaziabad, Anand Kumar is back with Desi Kattey
Anand Kumar has enough reasons to rejoice these days. The filmmaker who brought together Vivek Oberoi and Sanjay Dutt in a gritty action drama Zilla Ghaziabad has recently launched his own production house ANAND KUMAR PRODUCTIONS which boasts of three interesting projects in the coming future!
Named after himself, Anand Kumar Productions will see the filmmaker helming two projects while handing over the baton of one film to his associate director. “It is a great feeling to be your own master,” says Kumar on launching his own production house. He further adds, “We have three exciting projects lined up for future, Desi Kattey, Juliet and Nabbu. While both Desi Kattey and Nabbu will be directed by me, Juliet will see my associate at the helm of affairs.”
Little to many know but the director has already signed up to launch two star kid with Desi Kattey but wants to keep the news under wraps till the official grand announcement. Talking about his film Anand says, “Desi Kattey is action human drama based in a small town near Kanpur. Its story is about two kids who turn out to be India’s best sharp shooters thanks to the childhood they spend in the katta (handmade pistol) factory.”
Loosely inspired by Mahesh Bhatt’s Saathi (1991) the film will also see a huge superstar playing the role of a villain. Well, by the sound of the story, one really can’t wait for Anand to make the announcements on who he is going to launch!
