Lead actors Nani and Vaani Kapoor along with Director A. Gokul Krishna, Music Composer Dharan Kumar and the entire cast and crew, were present at the music launch held in Chennai amidst much fanfare earlier this week.

In keeping with the movie title theme, ‘Aaha Kalyanam’, the music was launched in an authentic wedding setting especially created for the music launch, where the cast and crew and all special guests were dressed in traditional wedding attire. Men were seen wearing pattu veshti and pattu sattai with angawasthiram and women in pattu pudavai with flowers as head accessories.

The fun foot-tapping soundtrack from the film was released by notable guests who gave an exciting introduction to each song – the very popular and emerging new generation star, Vijay Sethupathi, along with the well-known director and actor, P. Samuthirakani, introduced the first song, The Punch Song. Vijay Sethupathi also introduced the film’s lead actor, Nani, as a “very sweet guy always with an eye for good scripts” while Director P. Samuthirakani said “Naani is a versatile artiste and he is bound to go places after the release of Aaha Kalyanam”.

The Director of AAHA KALYANAM, A. Gokul Krishna, a protégé of renowned director Vishnuvardhan, together unveiled the second melodious number Mazhaiyin Saaralil.

AAHA KALYANAM’s Music Director, Dharan Kumar and the celebrity guest, director Dharani, presented the third lively song Kadha Kadha. The brilliant and gifted Usha Uthup, or Didi as she is lovingly called, who has sung the title song in the film, was also in attendance and along with all the singers gave a live rendition medley of the songs from the album.

The well-known actress Simran, who has a special and pivotal guest appearance in the film, introduced the leading lady, Vaani Kapoor, to the audience and lovingly nicknamed her as is the tradition in the industry. She glowingly spoke about Vaani’s performance in the film and said that she was very welcome to the Tamil film industry and that she would certainly be loved by the audience.

The launch of the Telugu audio soundtrack, scheduled to be launched on the 23rd Jan in Hyderabad, was deferred as a mark of respect to the doyen of the Southern Film Industry, Dr. Akkineni Nageshwar Rao, whose untimely death has left a void in the film industry.
