Tendulkar Middlesex Global Academy’s Mumbai camp gets underway
The second edition of the Tendulkar MIddlesex Global Academy (TGMA) got underway today at MIG Cricket Club ground in Mumbai. Enthusiastic boys and girls from Mumbai, Thane, Pune and other parts of the country are participating in the four day camp.
The children in two batches would be imparted training in sharpening up their skills in various aspects of cricket including insights into athletic development, sport psychology, tactical development and technical modifications, etc under the watchful eyes of Vinod Kambli, Sulakshana Naik, Sangeeta Kamat and other state level coaches The morning session is for cricketers between the ages of 7 to 12 years, while the afternoon session is for 13 to 18 year old children.
The curriculum for the camps has been developed jointly by Sachin Tendulkar and Middlesex County Cricket Club (MCCC) with an objective of providing the very best in cricket education.
The Mumbai camp will conclude on May 5 and will be followed by a camp at DY Patil Sports Centre, Navi Mumbai from May 9. To 12.
