Harshvardhan Kapoor’s Bhavesh Joshi is One of the most underrated performances of 2018!
With a stellar debut in the Hindi film industry with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Mirzya, Harshvardhan Kapoor walked away with two Stardust trophies – Superstar of Tomorrow – Male and Stardust Award for the Best Male Debut and also the Star Screen Award for his first film.
The promising young actor’s second outing, with Vikramaditya Motwane, Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, was a first of its kind superhero film in Bollywood. Dark and addressing real problems, Harshvardhan’s angsty but realistic, layered and understated portrayal of a vigilante in the film was top notch and he was unanimously praised by critics.
The transformation in his character from that of a guy who’s stuck in the corrupt system to a masked vigilante, hell-bent on changing it, was impressive. The talented actor perfectly portrayed the angst of the youth, who was a flawed individual himself, giving one of the most underrated and breakthrough performances of 2018!
Fortunately, once it found a home on an OTT platform, Harshvardhan’s stupendous performance and the film got an overwhelming response from the industry and the audience as well.
The talented actor will be next seen in the biopic on Abhinav Bindra. A method actor, Harshvardhan has fully undergone extensive physical changes as prep for his character.
