Olympians from team India celebrate the 65th Independence Day only with 92.7 BIG FM

Mumbai, As the countdown to India’s 65th Independence Day begins one can’t help but look back with pride at the amazing feats achieved by our star athletes at the 2012 London Olympics, where India clinched an unprecedented six medals, the highest in numbers in the history of the Games for India, the spirit of patriotism and pride for our nation is at an all time high. Through all this euphoria, 92.7 BIG FM, India’s No. 1 Radio Network and Broadcaster of the Year at the Golden Mikes, known for its clutter-breaking and highly engaging content, will feature special capsules on the Indian Olympians that have come through its alliance with BBC at the 2012 London Olympics.
As part of 92.7 BIG FM’s endeavor to salute these brave hearts, it has organized a very special programming initiative on the 15th of August. 92.7 BIG FM’s RJ’s across the network will dedicate the day playing the very best of patriotic songs cutting across genres and generations that the Indian music industry has witnessed. The show will play songs which have inspired our Olympian stalwarts Gagan Narang, Mary Kom, Shooter Vijay Kumar, Sushil Kumar, Joydeep Karmakar, Devendro, and P.Kashyap. They will also talk about their proudest moment at the Olympics, their dreams and aspirations, what they would like to change about our country, the freedom they desire, their vision for sports in the country and so on, sharing some rare never before heard insights on their lives and struggles. The show will also touch upon the lighter sides of their lives like their favorite songs, stars etc.
