Amruta Fadnavis launches River Anthem
Leelaa Entertainment along with T-Series yesterday launched the video of the song Chal Chal Mumbai Ke Sang, sung by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ wife Amruta Fadnavis at a function organized in Mumbai.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Fadnavis said, “Traditionally, we have worshipped rivers for many years, civilizations have thrived due to rivers. Today, due to industrial apathy, our rivers are no longer the same. Today we have a reached a stage where we all agree that we need to save our rivers from further degradation. That’s why we decided to come together for this noble cause of saving the rivers of Mumbai.”
Even Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will be seen mouthing the River anthem lines sung by Sonu Nigam in the video. The municipal commissioner of Mumbai, the police commissioner of Mumbai and other dignitaries also feature in the video to make everyone aware about the threat the rivers of Mumbai face today. They have all urged the citizens to realize the importance of having clean rivers.
Music director Sachin Gupta, who has been working for the cause of saving rivers for some time has directed the video which features the first family of Maharashtra. Activist Vikram Chogle took the initiative of bringing a diverse set of people together to support this noble cause. The video will also showcase Mumbai Dabbawaalas and the Koli community mouthing the River anthem. In fact, Amruta Fadnavis can also been seen joining the Koli community in a dance step or two.
The music for the River anthem has been composed by Kamod Subhash and the video has been produced by Sangeeta Manjrekar and Leelaa. The launch of the River anthem will be followed by the River March on March 4.
